City of Lakewood issued the following announcement on Sept. 4.

A year in development, the Lakewood Trail Explorer is a new interactive trail map that connects residents and visitors to rewarding trail experiences. Anyone with a browser can now explore the City of Lakewood’s more than 235 miles of recreational trails and know what they need before they head out.

All of the trails in the city’s system were mapped to provide an application that is mobile friendly and illustrates trail characteristics and uses allowed on the trails. Find the new map by visiting Lakewood.org/Trails, which also provides information on current trail conditions, closures and other important information to keep visitors safe and protect our natural resources.

“Whether familiarizing yourself with local trails, looking for the best route to bike to work, or finding trails where electric scooters are allowed, Lakewood Trail Explorer is the path to your next adventure,” said Community Resources Director Kit Newland.
