JEFFERSON COUNTY: Jefferson County Requests Variance to State Order

Announcement

Jefferson County issued the following announcement on June 4.

Jefferson County has submitted a request for a variance to the statewide Safer-at-Home order requesting approval to implement guidelines that best meet our county’s needs.

The variance request addresses gathering size, places of worship, gyms, indoor retail malls, outdoor recreation, indoor and outdoor museums and educational experiences, graduations, brew pubs, distilleries and other similar places, event centers and some additional businesses not specifically provided for in the state’s order. At this time, the county is awaiting a response from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. If the request is approved, the county will be publishing the final version of the variance.
