June 28, 2023 – The Lakewood Cultural Center announces the LCC Presents 2023-2024 season, bringing an inspiring and captivating offering of music, theater and dance to Lakewood beginning in October. LCC is known for presenting vibrant, world-class performances in an intimate venue where the farthest seat is just 12 rows from the stage.

“The Lakewood Cultural Center is all about people — what we create and what we experience together,” said LCC Administrator Rita Sommers. “We invite audiences to come and experience something new.” The 2023-2024 season offers something for everyone with a sophisticated and eclectic mix of performances from bluegrass to quintets, pianists to organists, and productions of “The Music Man” to “Fahrenheit 451.” Highlighted acts include:

ANDERSON QUARTET | 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 4

Critically acclaimed Diné (Navajo) trumpet artist Delbert Anderson blends improvisational jazz with traditional Diné spinning melodies to create a cross-cultural experience that integrates different identities, cultures, and traditions together in musical harmony.

CAMERON CARPENTER | 7:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 2

A true virtuoso and Grammy-nominated performer known for smashing the stereotypes of organ and classical music, Cameron Carpenter is the world’s most visible organist. Carpenter will play an all-Bach program, thrilling audiences with his fearless interpretations and dazzling technique.

FLAMENCO VIVO CARLOTA SANTANA | 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18

The electrifying dance of Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana highlights the dynamic interplay between the dancers and live musicians and explores our natural drive to push beyond obstacles to seek deeper relationships.

Create-your-own packages of four or more performances are now available at the Lakewood Cultural Center Box Office at 470 S. Allison Parkway (Wadsworth Boulevard and West Alameda Avenue), Lakewood.org/LCCPresents and 303-987-7845. Tickets for individual performances go on sale Tuesday, Aug. 1.
